Jim Barnes, President

Jim Barnes spent several years serving our country in the United States Army.  After the Army, he moved to Lake County and worked in construction for a few years before deciding to start his own company.   Jim started Lake Erie Companies in 1978 and has run the company with high-quality service for 33 years.  Over the years, each of Jim's children have worked at the company and participated in it's growth and success.

Jason Barnes, Director of Construction Management

Jason has more than 15 of experience with Lake Erie Companies, having joined the family business as a teen and gaining valuable experience under the direction of his Dad and experienced staff.  Jason is a Mentor High graduate with construction and business management studies at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College. Jason’s on site experience and skills are largely responsible for all project's success. He has streamlined on-site performance, productivity, and improved customer satisfaction.  Jason leads our qualified team of skilled associates to provide the highest quality finished projects ranging in scope from driveways and sidewalks to remodels and new construction.

Patty Barnes, Operations

Patty has more than 25 years of operations experience.  She studied accounting at NMJC in New Mexico and business management/marketing at Myers University.  Patty’s role at Lake Erie Companies ensure that the day to day operations run smoothly.  She also implements more efficient effective procedures to increase productivity. Patty often participates in current projects offering design assistance with material and color selections.
